Born and raised: Born in Independence and living in Marion
Family/Pets: I have 2 English Bulldogs named Oscar and Bridget
What was your first job: I was a host at Applebee’s while in High School. Fun, but terrible hours at that time in my life.
Favorite hobbies outside of work: Fishing, Hunting, playing recreational sports, golfing, and trying to find the nearest beer-fest!
What gets you fired up: Any type of sports. I played many while growing up. Waking up super early on a Saturday morning so that I could watch College Gameday was my favorite.
One thing you want to do before you die: I want to go to Australia
Accomplishment that you are proud of: Obtaining my Associate’s Degree and now I am in school pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management!
Something about you that would surprise others: I know how to braid hair. I have a lot of sisters so I learned young!
What is your definition of happiness: Mine would probably be just being able to be alone in nature, just breathing in the fresh crisp air. That is my happy place.
What is your personal motto: I don’t really have one, but if I had to pick one, it’d be “ELE, Everybody love everybody” from the movie Semi-Pro
Who is someone you admire: This is a tough one, but I would have to say my Grandpa. He worked hard for everything he has. He didn’t come from much, but lived a good life running his own plumbing business business for 40 years.
Why did you want to be an Emerging Leader: I have held leadership roles before, so I thought that it’d be a great opportunity to jump on while McGrath is offering the great training!
What do you hope to achieve at McGrath: I hope I can achieve a valuable experience that I will be able to use in everyday life. It has been a tremendous atmosphere for myself since I’ve started and I can truly see myself making a whole career here with McGrath Automotive.
What is one piece of advice you want to give others: Don’t get too focused on what others think of you rather than what you think of yourself. This has helped a lot when you know you’re being judged by anyone and everyone and you just need to remain focused on the main objective and you will be fine. Do what makes you happy.
