Meet Emerging Leader, Sean Walton! Sean is Pat McGrath Chevyland’s Lot Manager and has been with us for a little over a year!
Sean is 26 years old and a recent homeowner! His only roommate is his cat, Mina. Sean was born in Cedar Rapids, but graduated from HLV in Victor, IA. He spent a few years in La Porte City and one year in California. Before he stared at McGrath he worked in the food industry for 12 years!
When Sean isn’t working he is going on ghost investigations with his friends, swimming, or just laying under the stars, relaxing. He also spends a lot of his time with his niece, Alexis, his godson, Isaac, or just hanging out with his cousins.
Sean wanted to become an Emerging Leader so he could hopefully learn new ideas on how to elevate his employees and co-workers. He said, “Elevating a person is something you do to help them create a better version of themselves at home and work.”
When it comes to leaders, Sean has quite a few in his life. If he had to narrow it down to just one though, he would pick Brent O’Donnell, Sales Manager at Pat McGrath Chevyland. One of the many reasons that Sean sees him as a good leader is because he stays calm and collected when everyone else is losing themselves. Sean says that Brent is always there to help someone no matter what department they are in!
Sean has one piece of advice that he uses every day thanks to his great grandmother. She told him, “Never worry about anything in life. Nine out of ten times you can’t do anything about it anyway and all it will do is stress you out and make you sick.” He says that she didn’t say this for him to not care, but to simply not worry and play the hand that he was dealt.
Sean would like to see Stephen Nicholson apply for the next Emerging Leaders group!
