The power of community has never been more evident! We are thrilled to share the incredible results of the 2025 McGrath Cares Community Drive—and it’s all thanks to YOU. Over the course of our weeklong event, our customers generously donated more than 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food to local food banks. That’s nearly 55% more than last year’s total of 650 pounds!
Because of your kindness, families in need will receive much-needed meals. Your donations went directly to Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP) and River Bend Food Bank, two organizations that work tirelessly to fight hunger. With your help, they can continue their mission and make a lasting impact.
A Community Effort with a Big Impact
From February 17th to February 21st, McGrath Automotive hosted its second annual food drive across all locations in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Dubuque, and Davenport. Since we extended the event to a full week this year, even more people had the opportunity to contribute. As a result, we saw overwhelming support from our community.
To express our gratitude, every donor received a $25 service voucher to use at our service centers. Additionally, this initiative gave everyone a simple yet meaningful way to give back. It was truly inspiring to see so many people come together for such an important cause.
Why It Matters
Food insecurity continues to be a major challenge in our community. Unfortunately, many families struggle to put food on the table, and local food banks rely on donations to meet the growing demand. However, thanks to your generosity, we were able to make a real difference.
This food drive was not just about collecting donations. More importantly, it was about uniting our community and proving that small acts of kindness can lead to significant change. Every can, every box, and every contribution played a role in helping those who need it most.
What’s Next? A New Fundraiser is on the Way!
Although this food drive was a huge success, we’re not stopping here. A brand-new fundraiser is coming next quarter, and we can’t wait to share the details with you!
