Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) — the Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram automaker — partnered with Lucasfilm to launch a global advertising campaign to promote Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram.
The Star Wars and FCA ads will be showed in North America, Europe, Africa, Argentina, Brazil and the Middle East to showcase the vehicles that are sold in those countries.
Each of the four automotive brands will have a Star Wars themed year-end sales event that is linked to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will be released on December 18.
Dodge’s “The Force Gathers” was nationally aired on Saturday during the Southeastern Conference championship football game on CBS.
Chrysler’s “First Time” commercial aired on Sunday during NFL games on CBS.
On September 4 — also referred to as “Force Friday” — Dodge sent eight Chargers wrapped in Stormtrooper decals to New York City for a Hot Wheels promotion with Uber.
This is FCA’s third movie partnership this year. Dodge collaborated with the Furious 7 movie. Chrysler, Dodge and Ram partnered with Lionsgate for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.
