Drivers who prioritize safety and security will soon find a kindred spirit in the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Impala!
The 2014 Impala promises a special “valet mode”—in this mode, someone other than the vehicle’s owner can drive the car, but cannot access personal items or information that the owner wants to keep private.
The available 8-inch center stack display on the dash has an interactive touch-screen, in part for the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system. This display acts as a retractable face-plate that shields a secret compartment for those without a four-digit, owner-chosen PIN-number. This compartment is just the right size for valuables like a wallet, phone, sunglasses and more.
Not only can drivers hide their possessions from prying eyes, but their information, too! Info like addresses and contacts that are stored in the MyLink system are only accessible with the PIN-number as well.
Drivers of the 2014 Chevrolet Impala will be able to access valet mode with a four-digit code via the MyLink Settings menu. Once the PIN code is entered, they will have access to the storage compartment and their personal information.
Valet mode is one of many reasons that drivers will be excited about the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Impala!
