Chevy will honor America’s military heroes by helping Wreaths Across America place more than 700,000 wreaths (13,000 of which were donated by Chevy) at military cemeteries across the U.S.
The mission of this national grassroots movement is to remember and to honor veterans and active military men and women, and to teach America’s youth of the sacrifices that veterans have made to preserve freedom. The veterans and active military men and women are honored by laying wreaths at veterans cemeteries 
and having ceremonies and events across America.
When Maine businessman Morrill Worcester was twelve years old, he was inspired to start Wreaths Across America in 1992 because of his visit to Arlington National Cemetery.
To travel the nation to distribute wreaths this year, Chevy is providing a fleet of Silverados and Suburbans to Wreaths Across America. The trip — lasting from Sunday, December 6, to Saturday, December 12 — will start at its headquarters in Maine to Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
Chevy employees, dealers and volunteers will join Wreaths Across America to stop at schools and community centers to talk to students about freedom and the stories of our nation’s heroes.
Not only is Chevy helping Wreaths Across America to pay tribute to our country’s heroes, but they are also expanding its military discount program. Typically, the program is only for active-duty, reserves, retired personnel and veterans within a year of discharge. Now until January 4, 2016, the discount will be available to all 23 million veterans and their spouses. Learn more about the Military Discount program.
