Did you know that 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop breast cancer in her lifetime? October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it’s a tradition for McGrath Family of Dealerships to rally a team for the Especially for You Race. The race was founded in 1991 to raise funds for disadvantaged women to be able to receive mammograms free of charge. This year definitely looked a little different with Covid, but that didn’t stop us. Way to go Team McGrath!
Pull Over and Check Yourself
Breast cancer is most treatable and curable when it is detected early. For this reason, we encourage you to perform a self-check breast exam every month. McGrath Chevyland and McGrath Chevrolet of Dubuque both take part in Chevrolets #IDriveFor Campaign. For the month of October, each time #IDriveFor is used on Twitter or Instagram, Chevrolet will contribute $5 to the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer until they reach the goal of $220,000.
Each year provides an exciting opportunity to snap pictures with some awesome props to help Chevy meet their goal. Money that is donated to the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is not just for research, but also for breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers.
