On August 23rd, downtown Dubuque was filled with music, laughter, and plenty of Irish spirit as the community came together for the 20th annual Irish Hooley. Set along the Port of Dubuque, the festival brought families, friends, and neighbors together to enjoy a night full of Irish culture, great food, and live entertainment.
This year’s milestone celebration was made even more special with the McGrath Family of Dealerships proudly serving as a presenting sponsor. Supporting community events like the Hooley is part of what makes McGrath more than just a name on a dealership it’s about being part of the fun and giving back to the people we serve.
What Made the Night Special
- Live Music & Dancing: From traditional Celtic tunes to high-energy Irish dance performances, the stage was alive all evening. You couldn’t help but clap along (or even try a few steps yourself!).
- Family-Friendly Fun: The Hooley has something for everyone, kids running between games, parents enjoying a cold drink, and everyone sharing in the welcoming atmosphere.
- A Cultural Celebration: Whether you have Irish roots or not, the Hooley made it easy to feel part of the tradition. The festival’s famous “Céad Míle Fáilte”, a hundred thousand welcomes, rang true the whole night.
