Congratulations to Dave Schmerbach, Mario Garcia, and Mitch Strouf on receiving the Difference Maker awards during the first quarter of 2021. At McGrath, we strive to exceed expectations. Both customers and employees can nominate staff that went above and beyond by submitting an “Over the Top” review. The company managers read through every submission to determine who will be awarded the “Difference Maker” of that month.
During the month of January, Dave Schmerbach from McGrath Chevrolet of Dubuque, was awarded the “Difference Maker.” Here is what Frank and Taylor, customers of McGrath Chevrolet of Dubuque had to say about Dave:

In February, Mario Garcia from Coralville Used Car Superstore received the Difference Maker award by assisting a couple in needed after a motor vehicle accident. Here is what Stacy had to say about Mario:
“I stopped to ask if someone could check the air pressure, since I knew the sensor was not working. Mario Garcia jumped up and said ‘pull it around back and I will take a look.’ We pulled our Equinox into the back garage and he checked all 4 tires for us and added air to the recommended pressure… Had he not done that we may have been stranded in Coralville to figure out a way to get home.”

Mitch Strouf from McGrath Chevyland received the March Difference Maker award. Chris, a customer from over 120 miles away was impressed with the level of service Mitch provided him and had this to say:
“I am located about 120 miles away from the dealership, so we began the work over the phone. The entire process was streamlined and easy, largely due to Mitch, his sales manager, and the finance team. Mitch went above and beyond of what most dealerships I have worked with do. He captured a 360 video of the truck to allow me to see it as if I was walking around it myself. This level of service was the deciding factor for me traveling 120 miles to purchase this pickup. Once I got there I was immediately assisted in parking, finding Mitch, and escorted through the entire process, which only lasted just over an hour. The truck was filled up, fully detailed, and looked and smelled like new, even though it is 5 years old. I left the lot as a satisfied customer.”
