The National Automobile Dealers Association, better known as NADA, published a video (above) last week that we really appreciated! It was titled “Local Economic Benefits”, and here’s some cool stuff we learned!
Car Dealerships are stronger than ever in today’s economy, local dealers drive America! They employ over a million direct jobs and another million in assisting industries, such as banks, broadcast, construction and more!
Nationwide dealerships account for 15% of state and local taxes! Billions in sales, property, and income tax -in turn assists local schools and police forces, to name a couple.
NADA mentioned 90% of dealerships are privately owned family businesses that date back generations -like McGrath Family of Dealerships!
Some bureaucrats want to weaken the private dealership by requiring warranty and recall issues to be mandated by factories and foreign countries. This will weaken local economies by a cut in their taxes. Not only that, but it will also inconvenience you, the customer! The customer comes first and dealerships work hard to keep recalls, warranties, and other servicing in check. If the responsibility went to outside sourcing, it could wreak negative consequences on the customer. A more in depth description of that process can be watched in this NADA video:
Dealerships currently work their business around customer convenience and have controlled pricing due to competition. If factories owned dealerships, all that would change. Here’s another video from NADA that explains the benefits of price competition in the auto industry:
When you buy a vehicle from our dealerships, you’re buying local! Thank you for helping us contribute to our local economy! You, the customer, always comes first and we want to keep it that way!
