2019 Jeep Cherokee Review

June 17, 2019 By Becca Gardner

The most sought-after midsize SUV is back for 2019 and we are excited to show you what’s new! The 2019 Jeep Cherokee received a redesign this year in both styling, durability, and toughness. This year, the Cherokee has best-in-class 4×4 and off-road capabilities as well as best-in-class maximum towing capacity.

The first thing you will notice on the 2019 Cherokee is the styling closely resembles the Grand Cherokee. On the Cherokee it has a one-piece waterfall hood which leads into a more distinguished seven-slot grille. The headlights have been redesigned with all new LED running lights and regular lights on ALL trim levels as well as LED fog lamps. The LED lights have also been integrated in the taillamps as well as a backup camera that is now standard on every trim. When comparing the 2019 Cherokee to the 2018 Cherokee you will see the rear cargo space has more room than the previous year.

Inside the 2019 Jeep Cherokee

The 2019 Jeep Cherokee comes loaded up with features. On the limited trim you will have your leather power seats with memory. You’re also going to have advanced smart cruise control that will gauge the distance between you and the car in front of you on the interstate. If a car pulls out in-front of you, the smart cruise control will slow you down until that car moves out of the way and will resume your speed with no reset.

In the inside of the 2019 Jeep Cherokee there is a crisp 8-inch display with the in-stock navigation. The Cherokee has the all-new fourth generation Uconnect system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. What’s great about the Uconnect system is that you can plug your smartphone in via USB and use certain apps or send text messages through the system as well as navigate on the screen. There will also be a large panoramic sunroof above with two full panes of glass so you and all your passengers can easily see the view above.

The Jeep Cherokee Limited will have parking sensors in the rear of the of the SUV that sends you proximity signals while backing up. Another feature on the Cherokee is the perpendicular and parallel park assist that will park itself for you. YES, the Cherokee WILL PARK ITSELF. The Cherokee Limited also comes with your forward collision warning and advanced brake assist.

New this year, the 2019 Cherokee will come equipped with your engine start/stop that will help with your fuel economy. The Limited also comes equipped with your 4×4 select terrain system, this means that you will have an auto mode, a snow mode, a sport mode, and a sand and mud mode helping you get out of almost any situation.

Overall you can see why the 2019 Jeep Cherokee is the most sought-after midsize SUV on the market.
