Pat McGrath Chevyland was honored to give students of Roosevelt Middle School a tour of our facility and how our day-to-day operations work! Staff of Pat McGrath Chevyland explained their roles and answered all the questions the students posed to the different departments that make Chevyland whole.
Roosevelt Middle School visits Chevyland!
Roosevelt Middle School now offers an “8th Grade Option Program,” which is a learning environment that works on projects where all classes are integrated and work on real world issues to apply their learning. McGrath could not be happier to help these students explore all the moving parts of Chevyland.
The students are currently building a 3-D car that is apart of their ‘Make it Move’ unit. Chris Heck spoke with the students on how our technicians will be thrilled to help them with their questions to get this project completed. Before meeting the technicians, he asked the class what kind of car they want to build, the popular answers were naturally the sportsters: Chevrolet Corvette, Dodge Viper, and a Lamborghini.
“3-D Printing is such an exciting technology” said Chris to the class, “I remember when the internet didn’t have a computer screen!” Naturally the students enjoyed his jokes.
When the students entered the service department all eyes wondered at the different vehicles up on their lifts. It was clear they were intrigued and ready to get started on building their own version of a vehicle.
