Chevrolet Races & Wins BIG!

In one of the most grueling tests of man and machine ever conceived, the brand-new Corvette C7R beat out all of the competition in it’s class at the world-renowned 24 Hours of Le Mans this last weekend in France.

The race is designed to stress a driver and their car to their absolute limit by racing for 24 straight hours, rain or shine, and the car with the most laps completed when 24 hours passes is named the winner.

Chevrolet doubled up this weekend in a BIG way this weekend at the NHRA New England Nationals in Epping, NH.

First off, SIXTEEN TIME NHRA Funny Car World Champion John Force dominated the weekend in his 10,000 horsepower Chevrolet Camaro Nitro Funny Car. His winning run covered the 1000 foot long track in 4.160 seconds at an astounding 309.49 MPH…and Chevy was just warming up.

In a glorious return to form, Greg Anderson, driver of the his Chevy Camaro Pro Stock “Factory Hot Rod” scored his second straight NHRA National Event win. Greg’s 214.72 MPH winning run marked the 100^th NHRA Pro-class win for the Chevy Camaro. The top speed is really important, because it happened during some of the hottest conditions the pros have seen this year, and running the 9^th fastest speed in Pro Stock history in THOSE conditions is a Really. Big. Deal. It shows that Greg has returned to his days of old where he would go into almost any track he raced at, and would just dominate. Winning his second straight while also going to his fourth final round this year shows…Greg’s back. And he means business.
