Everyone loves to rally around a good cause. That’s why, when one of our team members experienced a health issue, our fellow McGrath members answered the call! Christina Fuller, the Business Office Manager at our McGrath Chevyland location, had a sudden medical emergency. When the bills began to stack up, the various McGrath teams came together to figure out how best to support her in her time of need. So the Donate For A Plate cookout was born!
Donate For A Plate
On Thursday, April 22nd, staff from area stores came to the Chevyland Delivery Bay to participate in the “Donate For A Plate” cookout. For a suggested donation of $5.00, members of the McGrath Family of Dealerships had access to a veritable treasure trove of delicious grilled foods.
Staff had their pick of burgers, brats, grilled chicken, beans, potato salad, a wide variety of chips and even freshly baked cookies.
It was all hands on deck, with Pat himself even manning the grill for a time!
When all was said and done, a large turnout and massive support from employees saw the team raised just under $1,000 with the Donate For A Plate cookout for Christina, most of which collected through the Venmo app.
Afterward
Christina herself is doing much better, and we all hope that the funds provided will help ease a small portion of the strain of the medical bills for her and her family.
It is always creates a tremendous sense of pride to see this implemented so quickly and with such care and attention. This would not have been possible without everyone coming together to make this happen, and we are fortunate there’s such strong support among our teams.
Big shout out to all who participated! It is a phenomenal strength to have so many wonderful team members willing to help out someone in need, and reflects well on our community.
