Interview with Teresa Hagen
Where are you from originally and where do you currently reside?
I was born in Oskaloosa, IA moved to North English when I was 5 and lived there until after high school. I now live south of Newhall on an acreage.
What is your title?
I like to consider myself Chevyland Service Daycare Provider…But I believe my title is Warranty Administrator.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Gardening, working out in my yard, canning salsa in the summer, and spending time with my kids and grandkids.
Are you married? Tell us about your family.
I am married to the most tolerant and amazing man, Brian. We have six grown children and 18 grandkids, ranging from 2 yrs. old to 18 yrs. old, so we spend a lot of time running to sporting events and school functions.
If someone were to make a movie about your life, who would you hope would play you?
My daughter; she knows me and is most like me (poor thing).
What do you like best about working for Pat McGrath Chevyland?
Mostly the people here, great work family.
What Employee has had the largest impact on your career at McGrath Auto?
I’ve learned so much from so many people here, but largest impact would be Dave Hesli. His knowledge of service is second to none and his calm disposition helps keep my somewhat hyper personality under control (most of the time).
If you had to choose a “Most Valuable Employee” at work, who would it be and why?
For me that would be Ashley Eckhoff. It makes my job so much easier having someone in the office who with her work ethic.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Holland. That is where my grandparents came from.
What is the first vehicle you ever owned?
1970 Cutlass Supreme with a 455… won me my first of many drag races- not that I would ever do that on the street now.
What motivates you?
Most of all, my family and friends and know that I do my best at what I do.
What is your most memorable experience at Chevyland?
My most embarrassing cannot be put on the web.
How long have you been with the McGrath Family of Dealerships?
13 years.
Explain, in your words, what you do on a daily basis?
Service reports for Chevyland and for McGrath dealerships combined, ordering GM tools, submitting warranty repairs to GM, service leads.
If Pat McGrath were to walk in and say you can take any New Vehicle that we sell, what would it be (must be something we sell at one of our dealerships)?
That’s easy- a white diamond Cadillac Escalade (one can always dream)!
