Meet Cindy! She recently transitioned from the Receptionist at Dodge Country to our Benefits Specialist and she has been with the company for two years and counting! When Cindy isn’t working at McGrath she is cooking, crafting, writing, knitting, taking pictures, making family videos, or anything that involves creating something new! Sometimes, when she’s not as ambitious she enjoys reading books from her favorite author, Stephen King.
When it comes to accomplishments, Cindy has many! She is a freelance writer for the Hiawatha Today and she owns her own digital marketing business, Meis Communications! Not to mention that she has her own community news website, tributecr.com, to help promote the positive and focuses on the good in the Cedar Rapids community! Last, but not least, she has wrote and self-published four books!
Cindy has a boyfriend, Jeff, of seven years, four children, and 10 grandchildren!
She loves to eat a Carlos O’Kelly’s once in awhile, but since she loves to cook she doesn’t actually eat out that much!
How does she do it all? Cindy says that she has found that list making and prioritizing helps keep her on task. Balancing work and personal life is so important to Cindy.
Cindy’s advice to others is,
“Do more; go to college while you are young; spend time alone before you get married; and to travel before you start a family. Don’t worry so much about what other people think of you.”
