April was a very exciting month for us! The amount of things we were able to help with in our community was exciting, we got do fun activities with our co-workers, and we learned valuable leadership skills!
We were able to help support a local baseball team, the Cedar Rapids Reds, through the Chevrolet’s Play Ball Initiative! We loved helping one team so much that we decided to sponsor another team-Prairie Baseball Team! Good luck to both teams this summer!
Then we headed to Kirkwood Community College to present some scholarships to local students who are involved in the automotive industry! It was so great to see so many students excited about the industry we care so much about!
Our Emerging Leaders group was pretty excited this month because they got to learn some valuable leadership skills from Coach Brands! He did a great job and everyone enjoyed having him here! Thanks again to Coach Brands for coming to speak with our amazing group!
Towards the end of the month we had four women attend the Iowa Women Lead Change conference in Cedar Rapids. They had a fantastic time and came back with so many fresh ideas!
We’re looking forward to a fun month in May and can’t wait to share with you all of our fun events!
