The L.A. Auto Show kicks off this week, giving automakers the chance to show some of their wares to enthusiast, journalists, and automotive experts.
This year’s show in California is sure to have some surprises, but there are a few cars that have already been announced for 2013 L.A. Auto Show.
There a few vehicles in particular that we are looking forward to, although we’re more excited for the day when these vehicles arrive at out dealership.
Top Vehicles Heading to Los Angeles:
Let’s take a look at some of the top vehicles expected to arrive at the L.A. Show:
Chevrolet Colorado Coming Back:
Chevy’s midsize truck is coming back, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s waiting under the veil. The older model of the Colorado was a great vehicle for light-duty work and moving sporting equipment like kayaks and bicycles.
The new Colorado will be the only midsize pickup offered by any American automaker, a welcome addition to a segment that sorely needs an American vehicle.
Kia Going Rear-wheel Drive:
While Kia is best known for their youth-oriented smaller cars and tech-heavy interiors, the automaker is expected to jump into the rear-wheel drive luxury market with a vehicle called the Kia K900.
Kia has a similar vehicle for sale overseas already, so an American version is not too surprising, and won’t be a stretch for Kia’s designers and engineers. Kia has already positioned themselves in the luxury market with the critically-acclaimed front-wheel drive Cadenza.
2015 Cadillac Escalade First Show:
Although the redesigned boss of all SUVs made its global debut at a special event in New York back in early October, the all-new Escalade hasn’t made it to an auto show…yet.
The Escalade is making the trip west to the city that probably suits it best, although the vehicle isn’t all Hollywood glamour. The 2015 Escalade has 2nd and 3rd row seating and a powerful engine, creating the perfect vehicle for hauling passengers and equipment in comfort and style.
Updated 2014 Chrysler 300S:
Updated style and sophistication hits California in the reworked Chrysler 300S, which has received some updates and changes. The new 300S features body-colored door handles and fascia inserts, and Chrysler is planning to offer a glossy black finish for the roof.
A new “Ambassador Blue” interior will also be available, complimented by an exclusive Beats by Dr. Dre audio system.
These vehicles, as well as the hundreds of other vehicles that will be on display at the L.A. Auto Show, are going to make for a great event in California.
