Meet Emerging Leader Michael Marsack!
He works at McGrath Ford and is originally from Michigan! Michael has one sister and a 3 1/2 year old son! After high school he joined the Army and stayed in for seven years until he was medically retired. He loves playing and watching both basketball and football — his favorite teams are the Golden State Warriors, Detroit Lions, and Michigan State Spartans!
When he isn’t working he loves to read and sketch anything. Also, playing or watching sports and being active. Sometimes after work he plays video games for a bit to decompress after work. Most of his time is spent with his son. They enjoy fishing or just hanging out together.
Michael wanted to become an Emerging Leader because he is not the type to be content or have the delusion that he doesn’t have room to grow. This was a way to better himself and learn more, which is something he strives for. Plus, he said, a challenge is always fun!
SSG Brian Cattenao is a leader that Michael looks up to and says that he was the best leader he ever had. Michael said,
He taught me what a good leader displays, lives, and teaches. Most important he taught me how to be a good man and to always put yourself in someone else’s shoes to figure out what makes them tick. Everyone wants something, is obsessed with something, figure that thing out and you will be in a position better to understand them.
Michael’s one great piece advice he was given in life is, “above everything, never lose who you are, be the best man you can be, and people will take notice.”
